Andrea Caspani
Born around Lake Como, Andrea earned a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism from the University of Como and a Master’s in Management from the University of Lugano; Andrea is a Lucerne tourism executive with many years of travel industry experience.
He started his skiing career when he was five years old. Ever since, he has dedicated his life to his passion, and today, he’s a tireless skier. In winter, Andrea is a ski instructor with over 100 days on the slopes of Switzerland’s most famous resorts. He’s constantly looking for the best freeriding conditions in the Swiss, Italian, and French Alps. In summer, he loves hiking and trekking in the beautiful mountains of Switzerland.
Monika brings a lifetime of Swiss guiding and hands-on Swiss alpine knowledge and we are especially pleased to welcome her to our team. Originally from Andermatt, the base of the Gotthard pass, Monika has guided for the top Swiss Adventure, Baumeler & Imholz companies. Residing in nearby Sursee, Lucerne, Monika’s experience in guiding visitors to the Lake Lucerne mountains like the Rigi, Pilatus and the Grindelwald, Jungfrau region provides visitors lots of local insight. Also with her many years of “Managing Swiss Alpine Huts” hands-on experience being responsible for the food & well being of hikers who overnight in these remote Swiss Alpine Huts, you can ask Monika for her most interesting stories. To stay current with all “What’s new”, Monika keeps her Swiss Hiking, Nordic Walking and Guiding Handicap certificates current by attending the yearly classes and passing the practical exams. Her excellent English comes from working in the UK,NZ & Canada so with Monika you can also practice your French, Spanish, Italian and Swiss German too.

Petr has been living in Zermatt for the past 6 years.
He looks forward to showing you the breathtaking views, sharing the soothing tranquility, and enjoying the magnificent perspectives of the majestic mountains so proudly surrounding Zermatt with Matterhorn as their King and the Monta Rosa (highest in Switzerland) as their Queen.
Eve takes great pleasure in sharing the Lucerne area with visitors and friends as she has explored the area widely on foot, by bike, boat and bus.
Originally from South Africa, now a Swiss citizen, Eve graduated with a degree in History and a post-grad qualification in Librarianship from the University of Cape Town. After many years working in the Reference section at the university library, she re-trained and worked as a registered tour guide in Cape Town before moving to Switzerland.
Today Eve is very active in the Anglo-Swiss Club of Lucerne and naturally has a passion for Swiss history and has amassed an amazing store of knowledge about the country.
She also loves good coffee – she once grew her own coffee and has professional barista training.

Originally from Cape Town, SA, where he completed a PhD in Microbiology, Dave has been living in Lucerne for the past 17 years and is an active My-Mountains guide.
Dave and his wife are now full Swiss citizens after completing the tedious Swiss citizen application process and he also speaks German & the local Swiss-German dialect.
A passionate hiking guide with a love for the outdoors, having summited many peaks around the world, including Mont Blanc, Kilimanjaro and Aconcagua in Argentina, the highest summit outside of Asia. Mark’s background in founding and growing an adventure and craft beer business in the UK, ensures that every trip is meticulously organized, safe and customized to your needs. Whether you are aiming for a lofty summit or a peaceful trail around Lucerne, Mark is here to guide you through the stunning landscapes of Switzerland.

John guides for ECHO Rails on a part-time basis. He was formerly in the United States Air Force before coming to Switzerland in February 2013 to join his (now) wife who is Swiss.
John currently works as a software development manager for Schindler, the well-known elevator company. He is an avid skier and hiker and spends much of his free time in the mountains. He is also a frequent traveler and amateur photographer, traveling the globe in search of new experiences.
Born and raised in the heart of Switzerland, Madeleine takes great pleasure in telling you everything you want to know about her home country.
With a university degree in Computer Science and English Language & Literature, she has travelled the world and is fully immersed in foreign cultures. Madeleine is an adult education teacher and president of Lucerne’s Anglo-Swiss Club. She continues to indulge her passion for the English language.

Dromomaniac. This is Elisabetta, aka Lisa, in one word. Living a double privilege: that of a travelling job, combined with the opportunity to be a bridgehead of information to guests from the world over. She is determined not to do anything else until the last of her working days! Her expertise spans several regions, with a focus on the Alpine area, Italy and Scandinavia. But Switzerland is Elisabetta home turf, and a varied concentrate of beauty, culture, and quirks…which screams to be discovered with an expert! And she couldn’t resist the opportunity of showing you the country from its best side.
Amalia is an artist, her medium is oil paint and she enjoys painting about other people and their life experiences. Amalia is a guide in both the art scene and natural landscapes of Lucerne and she feels how these two components of her life combine in the perfect and rich balance of her artistic identity.

Livia loves the swiss nature aswell as travelling abroad and doing sports of all kind. She Traversed from working in a swiss bank and studying economics, towards the outdoor. She’s a certified outdoor guide, got practice through guiding tours and by exploring the beauty of the Swiss outdoors by herself or with fiends. When she’s not outside, she gets creative with cooking, listens to music or enjoys a round of sauna.
Sabrina was born and grew in Central Switzerland. She works as a passionate part-time guide within Switzerland and abroad. The whole world is her home. Sabrina loves to share her knowledge about Switzerland with her guests and giving them advice on what else to do or where else to go in Switzerland. She is very active, loves hiking and spending her free time in the mountains or exploring the world.

Andreas hails from Central Switzerland’s Lake Sempach, “Sursee” area and brings many years of Baumeler, one of Switzerland’s finest outdoor companies, tour guiding experience with him.
After tour guiding in the 1980’s, , Andreas enjoyed a career in high-tech working with Silicon Valley companies while starting & selling many of his own.
For many years now, Andreas lives in Weggis, at the base of Lake Lucerne’s Mt. Rigi and enjoys sharing his local insights with visitors. When Andreas isn’t guiding My-Mountains tours, you may see him on the Mt. Rigi cogwheel train as one of the train conductors.
Deb relocated to the Interlaken, Bernese Oberland area a number of years ago, coming from Colorado, with a 25+ year engineering and project management career.
When Deb isn’t guiding our 13-Day Rail tour, she enjoys sharing Switzerland’s highlights with visitors, is an avid hiker, and is passionate about getting into the Swiss Alps whenever she can.

Born in Italy, Gabriella travelled and lived in many countries, and finally settled in Switzerland in 2017. Professional skier and trail runner, she loves sharing her passion for nature and mountains with people, as much as she likes talking about different cultures and lifestyles. After her studies in Fashion and Design, she had a beautiful experience as a guide in Australia and chose to continue this path, sharing her outdoor experience and knowledge of Switzerland with all of you.
